Dollification

Our Definition

 A practice where one or more parties takes on the role of “Doll” oftentimes through a transformative process which can involve makeup and costuming. May involve one or more people taking on the role of “Owner” of the doll. Specific elements of play are often based on style of doll(ie Barbie, Rag Doll, Sex Doll, Robotic Doll, etc.) 

Real Life Examples

Gille gets into the headspace of a steampunk-style automaton doll as her partner dresses her and does her makeup. 

Evgenia likes to dress their partners up and transform them into bimbo-esq sex dolls. 

Common Practices &

Experiences 

Everyone is different! You'll see this repeated throughout our website and glossary. Common practices and experiences involving dollification include, but certainly aren't limited to:

  • A transformative process involving costuming, makeup, and/or a changed headspace for the doll.
  • Involving a “Doll Maker” or “Owner” as the top or dominant party.
  • Having a specific doll character that one returns to when engaging in this type of play.
