Common Practices

Everyone is different! You'll see this repeated throughout our website and glossary. Common practices for gender non-conforming individuals include, but certainly aren't limited to:

  • Presenting in a way that does not align with one’s own culture’s view of one’s assigned gender.
  • Shopping for clothing across various gender labeled departments
  • Being interested in pursuits that your culture views as unusual or inappropriate for the gender you were assigned.
