Common Practices &
Experiences
Everyone is different! You'll see this repeated throughout our website and glossary. Common practices and experiences involving scenes include, but certainly aren't limited to:
- Planning out specifics in advance with the other person or people involved.
- Varying one’s usual levels of power exchange in-scene. (For example, total power exchange in scene and limited power exchange out of scene is a common shape for long-term D/s dynamics to take)
- Enacting scenes at play parties
- Viewing scenes as entirely separate from one’s sex life, or viewing the two things as intrinsically related.
