Our Definition
A style of Ethical Non-monogamy involving the practice of, or desire for, intimate (often romantic and/or sexual) relationships with more than one partner, with the informed consent of all partners involved.
Common Practices
- Emphasis on communication between all partners or prospective partners
- An awareness that one-size does not fit all for relationships
- Focus on getting one’s needs met by having a variety of partners who may be capable of meeting different needs.
- Identifying with polyamory regardless of current partners, similar to orientation.
