I got a hysterectomy for my 40th birthday in September, and it was the best gift I've ever given myself. I've been bedridden with pain that we all thought was endometriosis for the last five years. Turns out, it was adenomyosis all along, and now that I no longer have a uterus, I'm cured. Actually, legitimately cured!
Tomorrow marks eight weeks post-op, and I've been feeling so good that I spent the weekend rearranging furniture and deep cleaning my house. My workshop got a huge storage upgrade - so it's a nicer place to be, which is good, because I'll be in here for a while listing all kinds of new day collars, jewelry, engraved gifts, and leather gear, of course!
My life is changing really fast right now, I'm not in any pain, I have so much more energy, strength, and no more brain fog. I'm also on those good hormones so I'm not dealing with PMDD anymore, either! And I can't wait to pour so much of that energy into RG, the way I've been wanting to for the past five years.
My disability really derailed most of my plans for Restrained Grace, but there are benefits to being aggressively humbled. Tara and I have been talking about paring down the product selection to focus in on what we do best (and enjoy making the most). So keep an eye out for a clearance sale soon!
